So allow me to take this opportunity to introduce you to Dan Linder, Inside Sales Manager at MacroAir. Dan has worked at MacroAir for four years and is one of the many wonderful faces you’ll find around here.

Dan has a wonderful wife and two beautiful daughters. He grew up in La Verne, CA and attended high school in Bonita. He went to college at Mt. Sac and then transferred to California Baptist University, where he played college soccer. Some of his hobbies and interests include playing golf, both snow and water skiing, wake boarding, and playing soccer.

When asked what he thought was the best thing about working at MacroAir, Dan said, “One of the best things about working for MacroAir is that it is a company built on business ethics and strong business principles. At MacroAir, we are all like a family.”

Thanks for being part of the MacroAir family, Dan!

So I’ve spent a lot of time telling you about how great our employees are here at MacroAir. But instead of just telling you, I’d like to introduce you to some of these outstanding people! So, occasionally I will be featuring one of our employees in this blog. I’ve asked those that are willing to answer a few questions and share a few things about themselves. I hope that you’ll enjoy the opportunity to get to know the faces around the MacroAir offices.

This blog will be focusing on Heather Romo, Sales Administrator. Heather has been working for MacroAir for two years. She has a wonderful family and has been married to her husband Ray for thirteen years and they have two children, Raymond, 14, and Marina, 11. Some of Heather’s hobbies and interests include her family, soccer games, baseball games, camping and fishing. She reports that their newest interest is surfing, although she has not yet tried it herself, instead letting her husband be the guinea pig in this new venture! J

Heather calls herself a true “valley girl,” born and raised in Northridge, CA. She graduated from Granada Hills High School in 1992 and thirteen years later she moved with her husband to Highland, CA. She says that with the move they thought they left the earthquakes behind until they discovered that there’s a fault line in her mother-in-law’s backyard!

I asked Heather what she felt was the best thing about working at MacroAir, to which she replied, “MacroAir is a family-oriented company – you actually have a balance between work, family and life. Most companies claim they offer this, but MacroAir actually does!” Asked to share one of her favorite memories of her time here, she said, “My first day here I was introduced to the staff by the CEO, Eddie Boyd! What other company does that? Everybody was so friendly and especially helpful on that first day and I will never forget it. Thank you for the opportunity to work here and thanks for caring about me and my family.”

Thanks Heather, for allowing us to get to know you a little bit better!
Eddie

In my recent holiday blog entry, I told you how much I look forward to celebrating our wonderful MacroAir employees at our annual Christmas party. I feel truly blessed to have such a wonderful group of people working for MacroAir. And, not that I needed it, but I recently received affirmation that these wonderful people are more than just great employees…they truly are exceptional and giving people. Allow me to share with you a thank you that I received from Karen Cassidy, MacroAir Purchasing Manager:

Generous MacroAir Employees,
I want to take this opportunity to thank my fellow MacroAir employees for donating to the food drive sponsored by my Sunday school class. The children, who range in ages from 5-12, gathered food for a local junior high school when they found out that the students would not have much to eat over Christmas break. At this particular school, the majority of the children attending receive meals through the free breakfast and lunch program sponsored by the state. We found out that for most of the children, the free meals they receive at school is all of the food they get in a given day. Always willing to help and lend a hand, I left a huge red bucket in the break room at work and in no time at all it was filled with food! I was so proud and humbled by the generosity of my fellow employees. Thank you so much for your love and support! Merry Christmas to All!

So with that heartwarming example, and with a smile on my face and a heart filled with pride, it is my pleasure to say: See…I told you so!

Merry Christmas!
Eddie

Happy Holidays From MacroAir!

It’s officially the first day of winter as I write this and Christmas is only a few days away! I’m not entirely sure where the month of December has gone, but the MacroAir offices are buzzing with holiday preparations. I’m sure you can relate, as most everyone finds themselves in a flurry of activity, making some sort of last minute Christmas provisions this time of year.

I’m very much looking forward to our company Christmas party on Wednesday. Sheila Link, one of our many multi-talented employees, is lending her exceptional cooking skills and will be catering our party. My mouth is already watering just imagining what tasty treats she will be providing. We’ve also planned some surprises and there will be plenty of games and merriment.

And all of that will be fun (and I’m sure rather tasty!) but by far, I am most looking forward to the chance to honor and celebrate our wonderful employees. We at MacroAir are truly blessed to have such exceptional people associated with this company! So, on Wednesday, I will relish the chance to thank my employees, hand out bonuses, and present awards celebrating those who have been with us for five years or longer.

Christmas has always been a special holiday for me…a holiday in which I celebrate my Savior’s birth and a holiday in which I can take the time to enjoy my family. So as we all are making our last-minute preparations, allow me to wish my MacroAir family a very blessed holiday season!

Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas,
Eddie
