There’s a little known and yet very lucrative use for our HVLS fans – cold storage!! It may seem silly or even completely counter productive to consider installing a ceiling fan (no matter how big it is) in a refrigerated room! But, what you may not realize is that installing one of our HVLS fans in a cold storage facility can help cut the cost of refrigeration significantly! In fact, one of our customers had energy savings that exceeded $100,000 within the first year of installing our units in their facilities!

Why do our fans work so well in refrigerated storage facilities? Because they are able to de-stratify varying air layers from floor to ceiling, creating an environment with a consistent temperature and less than a +/- 1-2 degree differential. This means that items stored at the top of storage racks are kept at the same temperature at those near the floor. Additionally, MacroAir fans help reduce the load on air handlers and improve cycle times.

MacroAir helps to keep your cool buildings cool! Call us at (866) 668-3247 for more information about how we can help you save money.
